HOW STAB PROOF AND PUNCTURE-RESISTANT BODY ARMOR WORK?
Stab proof and puncture-resistant body armors are made from extremely strong High Tenacity and High Modulus PE fibers or made from Kevlar fibers which can be either woven or laminated together. Metals and composites materials are also used to make body armor. As the threat impacts the armor, the materials either deflect the threat or, due to their very high level of cut and/or tear resistance, they "stretch" and the impact forces are dissipated over a larger area of the armor.
